Welcome to Year 5! As the children progress through the end of the Key Stage, Year 5 is a super year for the children to build on their independence and self motivation – their learning voices and personalities really developing and being heard.
The staff in Year 5 work hard to facilitate a love of learning through the planning and delivering of our wonderful topics: Ancient Greeks, Outer Space, Mayans, Shakespeare and Our Town – Marlow. Year 5 have great fun reading some brilliant texts, mastering mathematics, inquiring into the lives of others from history and around the world, taking part in hands-on science, art, cooking, music, drama and PE.
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING?
Year 5 have been covering an very wide range of topics in English, Religious Education, History and Art to increase their creative writing and development skills in all core subjects.
