House Competitions

House Competitions: The Relaunch

St Peter’s has just relaunched our house competition! Each child in the school is given a coloured house to represent- Gaffney (red), Willson (yellow), Moore (blue) and Fisher (green). By working hard in lessons, producing good work, showing excellent manners and behaviour the children can earn housepoints for their team.

At the end of the week, the house captains and deputies collect the totals and find out who the winning house is. This is then recorded with the winning house at the end of a term collecting a team ‘prize’.

In addition to the weekly points, there are further competitions where houses can gain even more points through participation and success!

It is a friendly, competitive competition, designed to inspire the children to put every effort into everything that they do!

The Maths Competition

The maths competition at the end of maths  week was so exciting and a fantastic way to end the term!

House representatives chosen by their class teachers, due to the effort they put into problem solving, competed in an inter-house competition. They had to win stars for their house by completing maths problems and puzzles successfully.

The rest of the school cheered on and supported their house throughout and even had opportunities to win bonus points by answering questions, being good sports and following instructions immediately.

Well done to all the houses for being super problem solvers and a special congratulations to Wilson who won the overall competition! Go St. Peter’s!
